Spoon University is marketed as a food community that helps college students and recent grads build their confidence in the kitchen. Spoon University was founded by Mackenzie Barth and Sarah Adler. They wanted to start a publication where students like them could share their growing knowledge of how to eat smarter in college. Spoon University started with two women in their apartment in Chicago and grew to having 100 people at Northwestern writing, photographing, marketing and planning events. Today, there are 250 colleges all around the world, thousands of contributors and millions of fans.
